I recently started a thread with 20 close-ups of SS runes and challenged everyone to ID the maker of the dagger. 10 of the 20 were successfully identified. Some members said that they might do better at eagles. Soooooooo, following are 22 eagle. 21 are from maker-marked early SS daggers - No RZM 120/121 etc, and 1 eagle is from a "transitional" or double proofed SS dagger. Highly interesting and informative. Most believe there are only 3 or 4 styles. I'm not much of a "helmet guy," but I suspect more than a few helmet decals have been branded as fakes when they are variants.
