Just would like some opinions on what this banner could have been used for. Outside/inside, govt. building or something? 8.5 feet long x 3.30 feet wide. One hole on the right. Is it worth $180? Should I be storing it in a box or something?

No, just fabric all the way around.

That type of banner could have been used anywhere during the Third Reich..inside, outside..you will find it shows up in pics everywhere.

Now I see, just looked at it again, and there is doubled-up fabric sewed at one end of the 3.30 ft. width. Large enough for a metal bar I suppose.

This was the "Party flag" that became the "National Flag of Germany" so could have been flown by anyone anywhere, and came in all kinds of shapes & sizes. Decent flag, worth $150-250. Rolling a flag is better than folding. If it's wool, a few mothballs won't hurt. Just keep away from pets & kids.
