When the subject came up awhile back regarding the unknown RZM Code of 1096 I decided to contact the one Company whose name has been mentioned inre. to being assigned this number. Below is the response I received:

Wolfgang W�sthof gave me the following information:



As you can see on the enclosed page No. 379 of our 1940 catalogue the W�sthof factory made S.A. and N.S.K.K. daggers (Dolche), R.A.D. splitting knives (Haumesser) and HJ. sheath knives (Fahrtenmesser).

The only code that we could find is the one on the H.J. � Fahrtenmsser.

It is RZM M 7-19.

1096 is unknown to us.

By the way � if you don�t know yet:

R.A.D. means Reichsarbeitsdienst and H.J. Hitlerjugend.
