Looks to be a well sharpened original to me but better pics of the hilt would help. A close-up pic of the diamond would be good if you can get one.

As Russ has said: this is a sharpened blade causing the different shape. It also seems to have been heavily polished (pic 2).

It kind of looks like there is a lip on the scabbard throat. Might just be the picture messing with my eyes. Better pics would help.
