In closed are pictures of early M16 helmet as I suspected this helmet is indeed one of the first ones made that were prone to cracking at the visor neck guard area and were immediately discontinued. The helmet shows oblivious signs of battle damage being hit by shell fragments inside and out. These types of helmets are very popular for display and generate a lot of discussion about the poor soul who was wearing it. The markings are hard to see but it is ET64. Also in closed is a side by side comparision of a latter made M16 to show the difference.
