I'm afraid the dagger is an early Spanish fake, no chance that any part of it is period IMO...

My first impression of the dagger is that it is a reproduction. With it's mishaped crossguard and dagger handle that also does not fit.Plated steel fittings that look like nickel with patina.RZM daggers, yuk

Yes..the handle is the teller for me... it has that bulky look near the lower cross-guard fitting. Blade doesn't seem to conform to the natural shape of a period blade

I took a quick look at the web site. The contact person is listed as Bob Treend at an address in Houston Texas that I was unable to exactly locate. There is a Robert J. Treend of Houston Texas listed as publisher of "Der Gauleiter". I can't tell if they are the same person.

Does anyone know if this thing still being offered for sale as period? Has anyone informed Robert that he's selling a fake? He appears to be a long-standing member here???
