Hi! I'm new with the Wehrmacht dagger and this is my first one. I would like to know your opinion. Thank you!

Great looking first Heer! All typical WMW generic fittings and scabbard with two screws I have seen on other WMW's. Looks like the blade has nice crossgrain too from the "peak" you gave us. Interesting that the maker mark is latitudinal versus longitudinal like the example I have! Just a variation though, not to worry. Recognize that "HK" on the crossguard, did you pick this one up from one of the on line dealers? Anyways,CONGRATS! Kevin.

What I have noticed about this maker is that they liked to put their MM very high up on the blade, so that it is sometimes very hard to see! There was one on auction a couple of years back in absolute prestine condition and I didnt bid! Later on after the auction the very happy new owner showed me the dagger and pointed out that it was maker marked. I looked closely under the crossguard, and trues nuts, there was the good old WMW maker peaking out!!! Had I have known that, I would`ve bid Of the 5 or 6 that I have seen, only 1 had the maker lower down! Just my personal obsevation. Dion
