Is this a known fake? It obviously does not accurately reflect an honor dagger blade, or otherwise. It appears to represent a presentation dagger. Just curious to learn why it's "bad." Thanks.

The reverse inscription is not hand lettered, appears to be trusty "Old English" the steadfast repro font of the 70's...

It must be real it has DAMAST on the tang.... LOL, the crossguard to grip fit appears to be a bit out

Funny this inscription
wrong font
mixture by using the font on the same letters
misspelling in a lot of words
in 1941 the manufacturer would have lost his head ;-)
