Flag, Sport, Shooting and Kieler Woche Pins! I have thins Flag pin but I do not know anything about? Does somebody have any information on that? I have never seen another one like it. I also have the Kieler Woche pin, a Sports pin and a shooting club pin. If you have any information on any of them that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help. JME

Hi JME, Kieler Woche - Kiel week is an annual sailing event. Kiel Germany. I always thought it was an enamel tinnie.

You are correct regarding the Kieler Woche Joe, it is usually found as a hollow back tinnie, but occasionally does turn up as a solid back enamel. I guess different quality badges for different budgets, therefore everyone could afford one.
Regarding the others,
The flag badge worries me a little, the white of the enamel looks a little too white. It could be the lighting, but could also indicate a modern piece. If you look at it under magnification, are there any black specks in the white enamel?
The NSRL is the gold leistungsabzeichen for the Nationalsozialistiche Reichsbund fr Leibesbungen. Basically a sports achievement pin, a certain grade had to be attained in sports to receive one.
The last badge is not a shooting pin but a membership badge for the Bund Heimattreuer Schlesier, one of the early right wing nationalist groups.
Hope this helps Don

Hi Joe & Don, Thank you for your comments. I looked at the Flag and do not see any spots. The Flag pin is rather small and I was told that it was supposed to be a very rare piece. I looked with a lupe but did not use the microscope. Thank you again for your input. JME
