Hi All:

Still looking for just the right gift for the Stab Chef this Yuletide? How about the "Bobbi"? Now he can pull off his own boots! Found this one while looking through SS Standarte papers.

Enjoy!

that's because no one with cowboy boots can find any friend to help take them off
(It's not that they don't have friends, it all that cow stuff that gets on them!)

We live in a society where the use of high boots is relegated to women's fashions.

In the 1800's up through the early 1940's in Europe, how many cows, horses and pigs were rendered to supply the voracious appetite of the leather industry?

Of course the meat was eaten you know, NOT just the leather used for boots, etc?

Yes Lloyd, I would assume something was done with the meat.

My point was that it was an animal product intensive industry.

No PETA bleating should be implied from my post!

Never mind the beef grin but the use of High boots are still used in Law Enforcement especially Mounted police state troopers and motorcycle police. In most states the use of high boots on state police officers along with their uniform is very intimidating as was the Full dress of the SS officer ( and with this statement said by no means am I comparing the 2 together) but only on the dress aspect,, that it is an "attention getter" when you see the officer walking up in your rear view mirror. We feel the pit in our stomach when the police stops us on the highway as did the SS ( not comparing the 2 forces) when they were blowing whistles and marching on the street crunching sand beneath their boots

To hear and see an officer of the law walking toward you is still an effective visual tool.
Boots on a cowboy?? Means nothing...Boots on a woman its your desire how it affects you. wink

The crook behind the knee when the boot is placed there is a useful tool for pulling off long boots as I used to ride a motorcycle and no one else was a round to do it for me.
