I've been asked for help by well known collector of uniforms (especially camo stuff) who knows very little about the daggers. There is one item he purchased as a part of collection that is questionable. The rest of the dagger is 100% original, generic B crossguard, trolon grip etc. just the blade... I asked him about tang pictures, since the blade is plain and unmarked. Any opinions welcome.

Sorry for the bad news but this damascus blade is a complete fake ( probably made in India or Pakistan ). It has nothing to do with an original.

I'd say it's the acid etched "damascus".
