I have this helmet.
As I understand, It originally had two decals.
the "national" decal was scratched off per orders and the eagle and swastica are still on the other side.
It has some paint loss and has not been messed with.
The two holes where the ears would be have "collars","liners", I do not know if that is the correct term, but the other three holes do not have the collars. Is this correct?
Also, what value would you put on this.
Any replies would be appreciated.

Yes,that is correct period setup. This is a M40 helmet and the flat holes are where the retaining rivets for the leather liner were. I would value this helmet(if not dented up or rust pitted badly)at around $200-$250. Kevin.

Are you sure it had a tricolour decal ? can you tell me the lot number ( rear of skirt) and size ET64 etc . Thanks Rob
