This one is a little odd. Looks like scabbard has rings stamped in rather than added on. Anybody ever seen one like this? I can post picture when sun somes out in Seattle again. Maybe May? Doug

I have always understood that the scabbards with stamped suspension bands are post war production. The first appearance of scabbards with stamped bands was on the Horster reissue Navy daggers in the 1960's/70's.

Doug please show us some pictures I am willing to bet it�s the early maker mark. Johnson had some of these blades for sale a while back most collectors I know do not believe they are pre 1945.

Yeah. It's the first one on the maker mark picture group. "E.P.&S." OVER LOGO "SOLINGEN" BELOW. Wasn't the Luftwaffe responsible for float plane operations anyway? Doug
