I BOUGHT THIS 45 A FEW HOURS AGO. I PROBABLY PAID TO MUCH. I WAS THINKING THE VALUE WOULD BE HIGHER THAN NORMAL BECAUSE OF THE LOW SERIAL NUMBER.DOES THIS LOW # HAVE ANY GREAT EFFECT ON THE VALUE.IS IT POSABLE THAT THIS IS A WW1 HOLSTER,THE STAMP ON THE BACK LOOKS LIKE G&E 191? THANKS PAUL

The initials above the date looks like Govt inspector mark. In closed is an list of know holster makers and what era they were made in.

Serial number indicates late 1912 manufacture. The grips are incorrect.

beautifull weapon - rapidly rising in price - locate correct grips now, even though you are not inclined to replace them at this time -
