Tom Koenig, a long time collector and dealer from Cincinnati, has passed away. Tom mainly collected and sold U.S. medals and ribbons and was a staple at shows all over the U.S. Tom was a good man and I never heard a bad word about him. Thomas E. Koenig Born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Aug. 16, 1931 Departed on Sep. 17, 2010 and resided in Cincinnati , OH. Visitation: Friday, Sep. 24, 2010 Service: Friday, Sep. 24, 2010 Cemetery: Gate of Heaven Cemetery KOENIG, Lt. Col. Thomas E., US Army retired, Korean War veteran, and Bronze Star Medal recipient, beloved husband of 54 years to Geraldine (Gerry) Koenig (nee Kroger), loving father of Gail, Rick (Terri), Pat (Beth), Steve (Cindy), Larry (Sue) and cherished grandfather of: Michael, Chris, Marie, Kristen, Amanda, Brian, Greg, Jill, David, Allison and Andrew. Dear brother of George (Edna) Koenig, Merle Ann Koenig, Carolyn (Leroy) Honkomp and the late Dr. Robert (Mary) Koenig. Dear brother in-law of Mary Lou, Jean, Dotty, Camille, Jerry, Tom, Doug, Fr. Dan (OFM) and the late Don Kroger. Died September 17, 2010 after a brief illness. Age 79. Graduate of Xavier University. Long time member of Purcell Council Knights of Columbus; 2075th Reserve Officers Association, 45th Infantry Division Association and many other military and fraternal organizations. Family will receive friends Friday from 10am until time of Memorial Mass at 11:30am at St Martin of Tours Church, Cheviot. (Parking available at the K of C Hall adjacent to church.) Tom donated his body to the UC College of Medicine. His ashes will be buried at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Cincinnati or Franciscan Missionary of Mt Airy. (Envelopes will be available at church).

Very sorry to hear this! Tom was a nice guy and always saw him at shows everywhere!
Hobby has lost another good one!

Tom was always so polite, and helpful. Even when making a $2 ribbon sale, he was a gentleman. Thank you for your service and may you rest in God's peace....

Tom was a very nice pleasent man and I enjoyed his company at shows and at our show here in Toledo, he was a total gentleman all the time, it will be sad not seeing him at the shows or to just say high to, he was just a downright good man! RIP Tom!
