Hi All, I'm back with another out of the woodwork blade and more questions. This was just given to me by a freind who cleans out basements and attics for a living. He gave me this bayonet and a Unit history for the 100th Div, 100 Signal Co. along with a number of maps describing the battles of the 100th. Back to the bayonet. It appears to be WWI. It has the squarer type plastic handles. The handles has some paint on them. There isa very tiny chip on top of the right panel. The blade is completely unmarked. The blade has been sharpened(NOT butchered) a long time ago and the tip is a bit rounded-not bad. There are some scratches on it. I'm not sure how much because I have not made ANY asttempt to clean any part of this knife. The metal fittings have some age discoloration which, I'm sure, will mostly clean up. The scabbard has medium oxidation with some paint spots. NO dings or dents. It is missing the frog lug. Still has the leather washer between bayonet & scabbard. There is the tiniest bit of movement between blade and handle. My question is, should I clesan it and try and sell it or sell it, as is, AND what is it worth? I am going to sell this blade ans I REALLY trust opinion...Again, I ask for your opinion, NOT your advice. I can cut my own throat. I will be posting this on the "for sale" forum soon(along with the 100th Div history & maps) and I hope to get some help before then. So, in closing, I ask---PLEASE HELP!!!!! Peace, mark
