Here is a SLD Flaregun out of the woodwork in Norway Made in INOX Rostfrei Steel. My Collection The condition is as new. I think this have been taken extra care of. The pistol also have the O 342 marking on back grip. OST See marking. I have never seen that on a SLD before. Only the North See numbers. Well here it is . Hope you like it Regards LH Other side of the pistol. Now is the hunt begun for the SL singel flare rostfrei

What kind of finish is on it? I'm surprised they'd have left it in the white.

The nicest flaregun I've ever seen !!! I've always been suprised that more collectors are not into this relatively inexpensive area of WWII weapons. Also very little has been written on this area.

I hear what you are saying - I was talking about assembling the basic German flarepistols as opposed to what rare Lugers and P-38 go for. When you get to the level of quality that your pistol is I understand the price - plus the pressure of never seeing a pistol of the quality that your's is.

Thanks for sharing a truly exceptional pistol. A friend of mine who is not as active a collector as he was 5 or 10 years ago, specialized in Walthers. At $4000.00 he would have thought this pistol a bargain. FP
