Hi,

It's my The Italo-German Campaign Medal knew as Type "A" from initial production because the Filene's arc don't touching the bord and Lorioli MM left positioned. Due the ribon colours sequence I think it belonged to a german soldier.

Very nice Type "A" DJ. If ribbon is originaly placed in it, I suppose it belonged to a italian soldier.

Nice ribbon bar with KVK too.

Fischer, nice example. I'll bet it wont be long before you have a ribbon bar to go with it.

Fischer, a very nice example. Congratulations.
Is the backer plate a plated steel or is it brass? It's interesting as I only recall seeing silver metal backer plates along with a few plastic examples. Nice to see one in a different material or finish.

Thanks Joe...Curious, I did not notice the different backing plate and as you stated, I am used to seeing the silver plates. It looks to me like a brass, copper alloy and it has a bit of verdigris on one of the corners. I will have to do some searching.

I always thought this was an interesting award. Medaille für den Italienisch-Deutschen Feldzug in Afrika.

Does anyone have other examples to share? In wear photos? Award packets. Anything associated? smile

,,another tough one to find ,,at least these nice ones.. The zinc , crappy detail type some like as variants I've had and got rid of so fast. Just terrible looking..

These are nice ones to look at least!
