Hi all,

What SA tinnies do y'all have? Some are truly VERY spectacular! I have 1 here that is absolutely lovely;

SA Treffen, 86. Brigade, Schwaben, 24 + 25/08/1935

The maker is Carl Poellath from Schrobenhausen. The red coloured part is fabric. YES The red stands out WAY bright. Very stunning. What are your prettiest tinnies?

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

Hello all,
Very nice tinnies! Joe, regarding the white ceramic tinnie you show, on the germanwarbooty site he has a white ceramic table medal for skiing which I believe is for the same date and event as the tinnie you show, very nice item you have there. The last tinnie you show I have never seen before, nice. Krullies, that SA tinnie with the red in the center is very nice, not to mention the background of the picture! Here are the few SA tinnies I have. The first is SA gruppe kurpfalz 1938 maker richard sieper and son. Second is SA gruppe Thuringen 1934 and the 3rd is SA gruppe Niederrhein 1939

Hi guys,

Wow, those tinnies are ALL so gorgeous! SO much posted in a few days! Awesome! Have NOT seen any of these before anywhere? I have no specials to add, but, for completing maybe nice to see. Attached is 1 that Joe showed, he beat me to it "Mine" is not so good conditioned as Joe's though. Grip of sword is broken, theres no pin anymore + theres holes in it, probably to sow it on somewhere? Still, a very very beautiful 1, very powerful design, very great expression for the horse, I love it, very much!

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

Hi all,

Not so special maybe, but very very beautiful nonetheless! I mean, LOOK at those colours! Truly gorgeous! 2 plastic tinnies, from the same maker; Richard Sieper & Söhne, working in Ludenscheid. I love this pair. I shot these earlier, but, they deserved WAY better pics, and I'd like to add them here;

2 tinnies for the Sport- und Wehrwettkämpftage, Gau Westfalen, 1938 + 1939.

Enjoy,
Karin-Renate

Hi lmrobil,

This 1 is stunning, very gorgeous! The Sachsen is on my wishlist actually, its sorta "documented" here, and its been luring me since. Thanks for showing the Stuttgart! Never saw but Sachsen before!

Hello,
Krullies, those last two tinnies are truly beautiful items! I wonder if R. Sieper and son company used plastic primarily in the making of their tinnies or what? I could be wrong because I haven't studied them in any manner but it seems like almost all the tinnies I have seen by sieper and son are in this plastic like material. Any ideas? Again very nice items...everyone!

Hi Duzig

Thanks for the nice comments! The plasticthing you say? Is actually very interesting! I poked about a bit ... searching auctions + sites, all tinnies by Sieper are plastic! BUT, I saw metal medals too, the Sportabzeichen for instance? Sieper made those too, not plastic ofcourse *LOL* AND Sieper has an RZM "M" number for Metallabzeichenhersteller; 9 (Veranstaltungsabzeichen) on the 1939 tinnie? That is NOT shown on the 1938 tinnie though?

Anyhow, an interesting observation! Any1 having more Sieperts to show (off)?

Sincerely,
Karin-Renate

Thats a wicked 1 Joe! Looks in very good condition? Is that plastic or (pot?) metal? And also, SA Gruppe Hochland, I think I read somewhere that Hochland was the most loyal SA Gruppe, and had the Edelweiß as logo, sorta? Nothing to do with the tinnie ofcourse, but, just on the Hochland thing. Anyhow, very nice tinnie

Brigade 45 Aufmarsch - 24. juni 1934.....

A bad time for the SA...... Six days later , on 30 juni 1934, was the "Night of the Long Knives".

Fellow Enthusiasts,

You've all posted very nice photos of some outstanding SA tinnies.

Wish I could add some but sold them all off quite a ways back
to buy more old German porcelain animals ... grin

Many thanks to all who've contributed to this fine thread and I hope it continues to grow by leaps and bounds.

Best regards to all !

Bill

Hi Benten,

that design of yours is truly smashing, a true attentiongrabber! Must be rare? And the date of it is very historical important. I love how the SA logo looks on it. On that logo, I can add 1, not as special as yours, but I like it. Have no info on it, it is what it is. The Gauleiter of Magdeburg was changed in 1937, but, that has nothing to do with this I guess. Still, here it is.

Enjoy,
KR

Hi Karin ,
First sorry for my late reply and thank you for your complement.

I love your tinnie.
The SA logo is a well develloped design.
