Hello,
Just find this one. Never in a collection. Untouched condition.
It seems that this maker is rarely seen on a Heer dagger.
Opinion?

Thanks & best regards.

JC

JC,
Many of these early Weyersburgs are internally numbered. If you have it in your posession can you take a peek. I also think the scabbard is a later addition but it certainly is a nice looking very early peice.

Thanks for comment.
I've just disassemble the dagger. No number.
I don't know if the scabbard is replaced, but the dagger fit perfectly with the scabbard.
I've find this dagger by a vet son. Not in the collection circuit. I doubt the scabbard was post war changed...but all is possible.......

Thanks.

JC, nice dagger. I have a similar slant grip Weyersberg with the identical generic style scabbard. I was also thinking it may be replaced, but mine also came directly from an estate, interesting to see the same scabbard on another Weyersberg of the same early vintage, right down to the slightly off-centre rear scabbard screw.
