...And lastly, The complete ensemble is a lightwieght sommer uniform. Next to winter woll tunic for comparison. The lightwieght is more like a cotton denim.

Johann,

It sounds like your Gend Meister tunic is made in the form of a 1938 Feldbluse. If so, it should have provisions for removable wire belt hooks on the inside and a bandage pocket sewn on the front flap interior.

The following Motorisierte Gendarmerie tunic is one of my favorites. Not mint by far, but loaded with real “I’ve been worn hard” appeal.

Another Gend. tunic, something a little different: Functional cuffs, slip-on shoulder straps, two panel constructed reverse with draw, and belt hooks. Believe it was discussed before as a Schirock.

Another seldom seen tunic Dave. I could use one of these myself. A nice example of a specialized uniform to keep out the cold wind on the downhill slope.

Not named other than the manufacturer info on the inside and if I recall correctly, the tunic is dated 1942.

What I wanted to post was a feldbluse but the darn guy was smaller than my torso form, a real runt!

Dave,

Is this a Feldbluse? I cannot tell from the photo if it has provisions for the belt hooks on the sides and/or functional cuff buttons. Is your map case marked to the Pol...or is it perhaps a utility case instead of a map case? Very nice, as usual!

Sorry George, I should have commented a little further about details. No provisions for the belt hook on the side and non-functional cuffs. As far as I can remember, the map case is named and the one-piece high relief insignia appeared to have been attached there for some time and I’m not going to mess with it since it looks neat.

Dave,

Very nice set-up. I'm a big fan of the lower ranked tunic's. Looks great. Does the eagle have a city name?

I'll post this old police accepted 1942 dated raincoat here since it has Gendarm shoulder straps.

Very nice motorcyle coat and greatcoat Dave. I think the lightweight greatcoats are very difficult to find in my experience. It is also interesting in that it has no French cuffs. Is it a private purchase coat?
