RZM M7/72 is Karl Robert Kaldenbach Solingen.
Dated 1940.

Is this maker rare?

This maker seems to have been only making HJ-knifes in the late period, I have never seen an early knife with the Karl Rob. Kaldenback logo, only RZM marked knifes like yours.

This is a nice knife but it is far from mint in my opinion, because the hilt shows some plating loss and the blade shows some heavily polishing marks.

This RZM maker is nor common nor rare in my opinion.
