Pre-war German bolt action hunting rifle with top scope mounting device. No scope.Possibly chamberred in 8mm. Marked on top of the flat barrel, JP Saur & Sohn,Suhl. Also marked, Guss-Stahl-Krupp-Essen around the barrel. The reciever is stamped(next to serial number)3.75 gG.B.P. and underneath that line,St m.G.. Butt stock has cheek pad which is intergrated with the wood stock itself. Looks like the vet shortened the stock and put a "Redfield" rubber pad on it. The bolt numbers don't match the other numbers (of course)! Plus the stock has a few hairline cracks in it. Bore looks good and overall the weapons condition looks quite pretty to look at. But what's a fair price to give for it? Any ideas of an exact year of manufacture? Serial number is 827xx. Thanks if your still reading all of this.

Pics would help, but I don't see this being a very high dollar piece at all.
