My latest find,this has to be one of the best maker marks.Quite a scarce maker I think.HO marked in the usual place for this mark

im not sure it seems that the crossguard stamp is over a tad too far here i may be wrong but i have never seen any with this maker have Gerb Berns i have only seen 2 or 3 but they didnt have the crossguard stamp that far over just my opinion

I agree Stan,the HO is often,I'm not saying always,as there will be the exception to the rule,found in or around this area,perhaps if there are others out there who have them get them on,let's see if the stamper ever managed to get nearer the centre.

Great looking dagger! According to Fisher, this maker is seen Gau marked Wm, and Ho. I've seen pics with Ho marked in several different areas but always to the left of centre (or right, depending on your perspective), and some slightly off the crossguard as is this one. I recall reading about an Ernst Bruckmann marked to the other side, and an Ed Ohliger marked in the centre.
