I have owned many SS daggers and this blade looks like a repo due to the "little details". I would shy away from this one.

Once more I read with fascination...Neal has already commented that neither pimpling nor washers are red flags..pimpling is evident in many period early Bokers, especially those with the earlier small oval trademark....the fittings are properly marked E W for Ernst Witte...a well known castor and maker of these items...again Tom W has stated that a hands on is needed before pronouncing sentence upon this piece...we are continually learning new things in this area of the hobby...remember when everyone thought that SS district stamps on lower fittings I to III were thought to go as high as 9? that turned out to be rubbish..from the pics provided I see nothing that would convince me that this dagger is not period...even if the RZM mark were not in the "acceptable" manner that alone would not be enough for me..I might pay a little less but I would still purchase...if the remainder of the dagger passed muster...cheers, Ryan
