Paul, this is a pre-war tinny, from the period of the Second Italo-Abyssinian War (1935–1936)
The tinny represents the Caproni Ca. 133 which was used a bomber as well as a transport aircraft in this particular conflict. These bombers were particularly notorious as they dropped both conventional bombs and chemical weapons (phosgene and mustard gas)
La Nobile means 'the nobleman ' in Italian, and though just a guess, could represent how this particular group saw themselves in this role.
It could also represent the role of younger members of the house of Savoy who saw service in the airforce in this conflict as a sort of coming of age.
It may also have some reference to Umberto Nobile, who was a famed member of the aeronautica regio, and helped design the Ca 133 series, the first all metal aicraft in the Italian airforce inventory.
