I have just one, yes, just one German helmet. That's why I call it, the lonely king. Here is my KM, m-35 helmet. I hope it is okay.

Hi pfschgo I do not get what you mean, sorry. That's means that you still do not know if the helmet is original or if it is a fake? Well, I hope finally the helmet get a "green light" also from you. Thanks for looking and the replay. Fernando

Unfortunately, we had a lot of German helmets in Guatemala but used by the "wrong" people. During the opressing years (specially 70's and 80's), one arm of the Guetamalan police called "peloton modelo" (model Platoon), used the German helmet. Of course all of them were repainted. Yes, we had m42, m35, m40. The shell are original but not the paint and insignia.
If we want originals then we have to look in Germany, Europe or USA. I really do not have idea how many people collect this items in Guatemala but I know someone who collects German guns from WWII. (but guns are not for me).
Regards
Fernando

I am not convinced that it is a KM decal but rather a toned Heer decal.

Thanks Glenn How can I get sure about it? I mean how to test it. This is the second time I put the helmet in the "fire" and yours is the first "negative" response (there is always a start, hehehe), and I am not "mad" about it, on the other hand any opinion is welcome. Thanks Fernando
