I was paid from Iceland!!!! by Western Union. Not a hitch. It doesn't cost extra to receive, but there is a a fairly stiff charge to send.

Western Union is one of the oldest, and safest, money transfer houses in the world.

And they take a cut on foriegn exchange so be sure to get funds in your local currency.
