Hi guys (and girls), A friend of mine have send me these pictures of a knife he wants to buy. I must say that I do not have a clue what it is. I know my daggers and about how I go. According to him it has the ELK logo (reindier, moose) with SOLINGEN underneath. So I guess it's made by C.D. Schaaf.
Any help is more then welcome ? rarity and value of the piece?

Joe,
I get the same error message so I can't post the picture but the logo you refer to sounds like that of Robert Schaaf, Solingen.

Wilhelm Weltersbach periodically used a stag head and made sheath & pocket knives and supposedly 3rd reich dagger parts.

Of those mentioned so far the only one I recognise is E.Knecht, a rare maker of hirschfngers for sure.

This was the Robert Schaaf logo I was referring to earlier, apparently posting is back up and running.
