maker is Franz Pils @ Sohn Steinbach am St. any one ever see a motto like this? or own one by this maker. it was vet acquired in the 80's but we have all seen vet stuff that is questionable or flatout fake. the scabbard is 100% . everything about this thing is right except for that 'dang deep motto. no signs of heat marks around motto, but it appears to have some stress or buffed areas around it.

ok i like the scabbard and the kiife but that motto is wrong i am sure

Hi, I am no expert but I think that the dagger with the motto is a older fake. At least not pre 1945. Maybe original parts with a abbed stamp?
