Hi,
I am relatively new to this forum and want to start of by posting a couple of my favorite uniforms.
I collect LW uniforms and insignia(collar tabs). I have been collecting for several years. I look forward to learning from the experienced members of this forum.

Paul, great looking uniforms.I've come across several Luftwaffe uniforms lately.I wonder if more people are getting interested in them.I've still haven't picked up a fligerblouse yet, although I've wanted one for quite some time.Looking forward to seeing more of your collection and learning more about tunic in general.

I hope that people are not getting TOO interested in them! Although I have noticed a sharp increasing in pricing recently! Thank you for your kind words Raymond! I guess that what attracts me most to them is the manner in which the waffenfarbe is displayed on the tunic! I also have a modest collection of the collar tabs. I would be interested in seeing other Luftwaffe tunics that are out there. Please post yours! Regards Paul

Paul, I took photos of the 4 tunics I have.As usual they didn't come out that good. They looked good on the camera but on the computer screen they are dark. One of these days I will learn to take "JR quality" photos. First is a Feldwebel with pants.

Raymond,
Thanks for posting your tunics! I am considering opening a thread on tabs! I cannot seem to get enough of them! I must have them all!!! Of all of your tunics, I am most especially keen on the Flak grouping! That tunic seems to be untouched and in awesome shape!
Your HBT tunic seems to have had all of it's insignia applied post war, except the eagle. Collar tabs were not worn on these tunics. Despite this, I have some possibly great news about them... the shoulder boards seem to be the ULTRA rare straps used on LW blue shirts! Please have these authenticated as I have only seen one other single board in my entire life!
The attached photo is a portion of your tab photo. The tab on the far left seems to be a very rare Air Traffic Controller Feldwebel. Can you please post a close up?(air traffic controller had a light green waffenfarbe versus the dark green waffenfarbe worn by the Administrative section).
Leipzig,
I only have one LW M43, that is pictured with the flight Fliegerbluse. If you would like some additional photos, please do not hesitate to ask.
Regards PaulR

Now we are cooking with fire!!! Juan! It is great to see you here! That is a spectacular set up. That double decal helmet is definately an appropriate match with the droop tail eagle on the flieger. Very attractive grouping! What shield is that? Can you please post a close up?
Bob,
That is a stunning GenLt tunic!!! Can we please see some close ups of the tabs and boards? I love shiney things!! Also, can you please post a close up of that awesome ribbon bar?
Are either of these tunics named or attributed?
Thanks for sharing and lets keep these tunics coming!!

Well Done PaulR and thanks for sharing!! I really love Luft tunics..especially fliegerbluses..which were real sleepers price wise for quite a while..and now are really climbing up there in value..your Luft medicall officers fligerbluse is quite nice..I've got a Luft arty same rank.and is one of my favorites.I think your getting into the Luft field at a good time..its going in my opinon to becme much more collectible as the army tunics have risen to the point where a decent M36/M40 M43 are approaching 2K..and SS collectibles have reached heights which are quite prohibitive.

Thanks Scott!
I love the medical major's FB as well. I feel very lucky to have it!! Is is a very nice EM conversion example! I am looking for a nice centerpiece tunic for my collection at this time!! I would be forever happy if I could find a nice General Staff, HG, or even Field Division tunic!
I dont know why I am so attracted to LW tunics, but I cannot get enough of them!!! Because they are so cost prohibitive, I also collect the tabs. I am two waffenfarbe away from having them all!!
Lets keep the tunics coming!!

PaulR,
Very nice stuff you have there. I am interested in collecting Luftwaffe tunics, but, at the moment my only Luft item is a field grey officers M-43 cap. What area of Maine are you located in? I am in the Norway/Paris area. It's nice to see a "neighbor" on this site. Harry

Hi Harry,
I am in the Westbrook area(near Portland).
It is nice to see another Maine resident around! How far is Paris from here?
I would love to see your cap. Please start another thread so we can see it!

It's about an hour north of Westbrook. I'll try to post a thread about the cap. I had it on a long time ago, but I could use fresh opinions.
Thanks, Harry

Here is one that a friend of mine owns. It is named to a fighter ace and Knight's Cross recipient in JG-300 with 34 victories including 14 at night in 20 sorties. 17 of his day victories were B-17s and B-24s with two P-51s and a P-38 Lightning. He was shot down and killed on 24 December 1944.

No. The Knight's Cross belonged to Oakleaves recipient Korvettenkapitan Klaus Feldt in Motor Torpedo Boats. The German Cross in Gold is etched on the back to an Oberleutnant in the 4. Fallschirmjager-Division. My friend bought the EK1, Assmann-marked Pilot's Badge, the Fighter Clasp in Gold and the ribbon bar, although the ribbon bar isn't right for this recipient. He also bought a nice Luftwaffe Officer Service Cap - a nice early piece. This tunic is dated 1937.

Here is a close up of the collar piping and tabs. Nice early blue/silver tab piping. Anyone know anything about he green collar piping? Did all wartime officials have this, or was this specific to their specific speciality? Paul
