Hello, Henrik! ALL Rohm's should be maker-marked! If it is'nt, it has been ground off. The Rohm inscription looks very dark whereas the Alles fur Deutchland is very lite. Do you have a pic of the blade from the end of "Rohm" to the crossguard? Let's see what other members have to say! Regards, teufel

I believe it to be a reproduction. What happen to the makers trade mark?

I have no idea why there is no makers mark.

It might be me or it could be the photos but it seems that it could have once been a Rohm? The blade looks like it's been ground near the crossguard... can anyone else see this?

The eagle doesn't look right but that could be the lighting.

Either way, the etching has been applied again at a later date, making it a reproduction on an original piece.

the eagle appears to be aluminum, which I have never seen on a legit Rohm. Mike

Mike: The eagle is the least of that daggers problem. But your right, no aluminum eagles on Rohms.

The eagle could be a replacement.

The blade appears to be a Rohm... no? With the inscription applied again at a later date.

No doubt in my mind........100% FAKE.
If you take an original Rohm blade, you will notice that none of the letters in the word Ernst Rohm resemble any of the original ones.

Compare !

So you think somebody could have taken a standard SA and ground the blade a little to disguise it as a ground Rohm and then applied a dodgey inscription?

Pat... wouldn't mind seeing more of your dagger, it looks minty.

Yes, there is also no question in my mind that the inscription is bogus. If you have seen enough originals, this fake inscription hits you right in the face like a whipped cream pie. No need to compare this example with anything.

I am refering to the dagger that started this thread. Not your dagger Pat, which is original.
