I often find the discussions concerning "foreign" W-SS volunteer helmets slightly confusing.
The Danish W-SS volunteers who joined the "Freikorps Danmark" in 1941 were only supplied with uniforms when they arrived in Germany and they only received standard German equipment including helmets with standard "ET" laquered decals. I have amongst others a portrait in my collection of a Danish volunteer in Hamburg in 1941 where the helmet decal is quite detailed. The collar tabs were at this early stage the "trifos" type which were soon replaced by standard SS collar tabs.
