There is a town - Paulinzella in Thuringen Germany. You'll have to visit the web site. I did note images of the ruins of a convent. Klosterruine. Kloster / monastery.

Paul, Nice pin. Joe is correct. That is the place of which your pin speaks. I visited there a few years back. Lots of history with many names carved on the walls and columns through the centuries including the Russians whom swept this area clean during WWII. Here is a picture of the front door just like on your pin.
