Interesting, I have not seen that before. What kind of helmet is it in?

Any stamps into the shell of a helmet are highly doubtful in my opinion. Luftwaffe helmets are often unit marked but these are ink stamps in the dome or on the inside of the leather liner. Early SS-VT helmets were also ink-stamped for units and many RZM helmets feature this trait.
In the recent past I have seen a "LAH" stamping into the metal shell of a helmet...it was bogus. This "Prinz Eugen" stamp gives me the same bad feeling.
Cheers,
Darryl

Some years ago a local collector vet-sourced a KM eagle stamp/die. He eventually sold same only to discover many things the new owner was selling were conveniently KM-marked.

I asked for pictures of the helmet but didn't get any because I wasn't much interested. Strange ! I only know that the helmet was overpainted

Cody, I don't know whether to laugh or cry (both I suspect!). Sort of like the one real Italian stencil I saw from WWII at a show years ago. I'm sure someone turned out some Italian helmets with it!
