Happy New Year to you all . I have an SA Dagger by ASSO. In a couple of places on the blade is a small amount of brass coloured metal either showing through , or on top of the blade . Its apparent slightly under the black etch on the motto but also near the tip. It is hard to photograph , but any ideas would be apprecited.

Ian, it must be on top of the blade surface as the blade is forged steel. Solid. Maybe it's some of the runner material inside the scabbard throat as they are brass. It could have gotten on there from sliding in and out of the scabbard when something corrosive or very sticky got on the blade or the runners.
