Picked these two flags up today at the Toledo show, both have tags and one is a capture one by L company 3rd BN 4th Marines, they both measure 4'x3'.

Thanks Jareth for the help in identifying these! They are pretty nice flags, hopefully i can get some info on the 4th marines and try to see where this cam from, it has a name on it H.B.Hood which I was told on another forum there was an H.B.Hood in the 4th marines so this could be interesting to see what I find out.

Here are a few closeups of the two flags, the one named to the Marines is a two piece construction with the red dot being seperatly applied and the palin one is three piece construction with nthe red dot being seperate and the two halfs of the flag being seperate, both are in pretty decent shape and both ahve paper tags only one is still legable though.

UPDATE: Thanks to a very generous memeber on another forum he was able to come up with some information concerning this gentleman very intersting and unbeleivable that I with the help of others identifyed this flag and now know where it came from, here is the info:
B. Oct. 13, 1925 in Phoenix. Graduated Phoenix Union High School 1942. Undergrad at University of AZ, Tucson, 1942-43. AZ State in Tempe 1947. University of CA at Davis 1949. Graduate University of CA at Davis with BS
1952, Dr. of Veterinary Medicine 1954.

Active duty Sept. 13, 1943 to March 2 '46. Boot camp San Diego. Expert Rifle. Raider Training, Camp Pendleton. Overseas Jan. 23, 1944 to Dec. 3,
1945. Action on Guam with HQ Co. 4th Marines, 1st Prov. Brig July 21 to Aug.
15, 1944. Okinawa with L Co. 4th Marines , 6th Div. April 1-July 7 1945. Occupation of Japan. WIA May 27, 1945 Okinawa (probably during fighting for Naha). Discharged March 2, 1946. He later became the veteriarian at the Phoenix Zoo.

Judging from his unit assignments, he got the flag on Okinawa or during the occupation of Japan.
