my 2 cents..one should not be so hasty to condemn an item as a reproduction without viewing in hand..this piece has age and also qaulity..although it is not the quality of a standard produced cloth German cross it does appear to be possibly a foreign made item...if this is a reproduction than it was made long ago and a lot of time and effort went into making it..I have seen fakes and they are very close to the textbook produced German examples..doesn't make sense to make a repro that is this naive..still a well made qaulity piece..I have seen foreign made items before in terms of uniforms/tunics, caps and cloth badges, mostly produced in Italy and France and this example measures up..does it glow Paul? I would be surprised if it did..cheers, Ryan

the problem with "foreign" made wartime examples is that the look like attempts at early reproductions,,yes it may be authentic, but without any provenance,it will be a tough sell,as most would condemn it as a reproduction,,as Louie Watermeier once said,,"it is what it is",,, Wink

I know where it came from and no glow!dead as a door knob!

I believe its field made or some other country!

Just my 2 cents! Looks to have been worn and
it is what it is!

Its so different that I liked it when I first saw it!

But thanks for looking!
