I have come across a couple pre-RZM vertical hangers and one short hanger that have solid nickel buckles and yet they have plated snap clips. The short hanger snap is D.R.G.M and Assmann marked and the two vertical snaps are unmarked. Are these seen often? What period would that place these in?

The two verticals are on a dealer's website and I do not want to post those photos without permission. Unlike the short hanger above, they have no markings, but they have the same nickel buckle, plated snap configuration.
