Hi, Does anyone know of someone that could reinstall/furnish/repair my Dad's original WWII EM Dress uniform visored cap? Some years ago, the visor was cracked during a move and I haven't been able to get it fixed. If I could get a blank visor, I could do the repairs myself as I am somewhat handy in this area. He is 92, 5 enlistments INCLUDING Coast Artillery, 1939-41 @ Pearl Harbor, Normandy (3rd Armored Div.), and was badly wounded in action just north of Lyons. It'd mean a lot to him. Your best bet would probably be to find an era cap, remove the visor and replace the broken one with it. It would probably be cheaper and you wouldn't have to worry about a possible detectable repair. I'm sure there is someone somewhere who does such work, but I am unaware of him. Please extend my gratitude and admiration to your dad.

Thanks, Grumpy. Sounds like a good plan! OK, anyone out there with a mothy, torn-up or just a parts EM cap that might be suitable?
Thanks in advance. Casemaker
