Here is a rare LONG Police Clamshell Bayonet with the 1935 to 1941 Eickhorn Trademark. The only one I have ever seen with this style later trademark. Must have been one of the last Clamshells ever made. Condition is super. Ron Weinand Weinand Militaria

Ron,
Besutiful piece indeed. Not much wear on that grip eagle at all. The scabbard leather looks pretty pristine too, I'm glad it escaped the grinder.

Nice piece. Was Eickhorn the major producer of police bayonets. Whats the blade length on the one pictured?

Great bayonet. A true Third Reich piece, not a rework.

Terry,
The blade length on this piece should be a beautiful 17". Eickhorn did make a lot of police bayonets but you don't often see one with the '35-'41 Eick mark, particularly not on a clamshell. I seem to see more police pieces by Hrster and Alcoso.
