A few years ago I purchased this coin from a coin-collection. Later I`ve been aware that this piece is quite unusual to come by. See the link: http://www.usmbooks.com/hitler_coin.htmlMy question is, have anyone any idea regarding the value of this coin? Or does anyone have any information about these? Sorry about the pictures, they are to dark and the coin is much better looking in real life.
Regards Trond.

It's not a coin and wasn't sanctioned by the German government at anytime. You might call it a token or a medal. I call it pure fantasy and has no true value for a collector. I place these in the same category as the fantasy Benito Mussolini pieces. There are others but won't get into that at this time. I can only guess when they first started to show up. I do know they are still being made.
1.."Hitler once held the job of Helmut Kohl and Gerhard Schröder". Reich Chancellor v Bundes Chancellor..Please give me a break he's also trying to make a case of similarty in character and job performance. We all know on GDC that's a stretch.
2.."The coins were driven from the market shortly after they began to sell and we suspect that few survive". That's pure bull. You can still find these at flea markets. So someone is still making them.
3.."coin was professionally struck in a fine high-relief die. The obverse features a realistic “frosted” view of the right side of Adolf Hitler’s face against a brightly polished background". Again, not a coin. Not professionally cut nor struck. Hope this helps a little.

I agree with Mikee on all points.. They're at every big show here in the US and many of the small ones.. USM also has another division,,,they restrike and produce fantasy pins and small 'pieces'...
