The price would maybe right when the dagger is 110% original but who know it from this pictures. Even I would“t pay it when the dagger is original. Better pictures please, how is the screw on the revers? Untouched? Are the crossguards marked and how? Anodized scabbard? Such daggers needs the best inspections!

Ilya... if you're thinking of buying this, make sure you can get an inspection period to have it authenticated.

$14,000 (£8,000 GBP) surly that cant be right..
I picked one up earlier this year for $1500 (including some other bits and bobs) from the soldiers daughter, almost idential to the one pictured, a herder name ground only.. which i knew was a bit of a bargin.
i was checking out the going price at the time and a couple were on uk dealers site for approx $5,500 (£3,200 GBP) they cant have gone up that much..
ps. they are not for sale on the dealers sites any more ...

??. Thank for the stated opinions. In some days I can photograph all parts of a dagger to be sure in its authenticity. I shall be grateful, if dear experts will help me to define, whether the original motto on a dagger or is a fake. That a dagger original and in very good condition, doubts are not present.

Yes, agreed.
As stirnpanzer stated, he picked one up for $1500.00, (which I think is a great price), especially in the UK... don't know how it fares in the States?

hi, I got lucky with the price i paid... The seller's were happy... they also sent me various small items the vet picked up. They seemed happy just to be rid of it. Most interesting was a copy of his scrap book, following his landing in italy ....and moving up north...some nice photos / passes...

Ilya, your dagger looks to be real. However, there are some tests you can't do unless the dagger is physically present.

The first dagger posted is 100% real in my opinion. Viper your dagger is really nice with parts of the name still showing. I think close to five figures for yours. Personally I'd rather have a name only ground Rohm than a full Rohm because it tells the story. But that's just me...

I agree with Skyline. Maybe my original guess as to what it's worth wasn't that bad after all? I think stirnpanzer got a great price on his. I wouldn't mind seeing some photos for comparison.

Thanks Skyline. I like the name only ones too. If you hold it right you can see every letter. Plus it fits in with my ROHM: GOING GOING GONE display.
