Hello,

I'd post photos of this RAD hewer hanger in the past. It had bad comment due to the RZM stamp on the leather hanger. Not usual on a RAD hanger...
But I've just find by a reputable & well know dealer the same hanger as original.
What to mean???? I personnaly think the hanger is 100% period....but all opinion are welcome.

Just because a dealer has them and they say "it's Good" ..doesn't mean they are correct.

IMO these are current repro. First, this one from the dealers site and yours looks like new leather.
Second, In 1944 the Germans were very busy making slings for MP44's and other war necessary equipment and not hangers for RAD Hewers that they stopped making in 1941/2.

Sorry it's just what I see.

IMO these are "parts" hangers. Original metal-new leather. The leather stampings are not proper.
These also usually still have a new leather smell even though they have been on the market for a long time.
The leather is also a bit thin when compared to originals and while many of these hangers were originally brown, most were later dyed black.

IMHO: original hardware and new leather, the stitching looks sooo bad Frown RZM markings on RAD item? Hmmm, that's a little bit weird (however it would fit perfect with spanish copy RZM marked hewers). And, as Wagner noticed, '44 was a year of different priorities than making edged weapons accouterments.
