Just purchased this from a fellow member. I know the cross is good because there is one just like it listed in Gordon Williamsons book The Iron Cross of 1939. It is marked CD and 800. I am sure the letters CD are the makers initials but who is the maker?

That's a good bit of information, missing from many of the top reference books and periodicals. Most will show a photo of this marking but never shed any light on who actually produced the piece. Nice work!

Would you by chance have the listing of these markings that you could post for us?

I hear tell that a second-class EKII with the CD mark is a rare bird, can anyone confirm that?
