Hello,
While I can't comment on the authenticity of the cap, I would point out that the Wasserschutzpolizei wore blue naval type uniforms and not green, so I can't imagine a green fur cap in use by that branch.
The gold cap eagle was more probably worn by the motorized traffic police rather than the WSP.

Fritzii and William : I think your cap is fine , except the eagle should have been placed on the front of the furr flap . Please see my 2 posted police furr caps under "Brothers reunited ", that I posted on 16 July 2006 ,on this forum . Regards , Bernd .
