As we haven't seen any for a while, thought I'd post my SS/FM members pin.
I'm sure others here have them as well so lets see them please.
Cheers Don

Not as far as I know, but I imagine that it's only a matter of time. I'm sure that the info is tucked away in an archive somewhere just waiting for someone to realise what it is..... Cheers Don

Hi All: SS/FM numbers are traceable as there are ledgers recording contributions that include the member's unique FM number in the BDC records in the National Archives at College Park. It is another worthy project that could be undertaken with a lot of time & perseverance and the numbers could be organized with a database. Regards, Ross Kelbaugh www.ssdaggers.com

Anyone noticing how we have at least two variations here? Look at the little black triangle under the crook of the first "S" - one is small and others are large. Maybe just a polishing variation, but it looks big enough to be a new / different die.
On the back have a look at the way the "S" is written on the badge above and then look at the "S" in "DESCHLER" on any of the "A" series badges. It looks like a backwards "Z".
Just die and stamping variations, but I've never noticed before until seeing the side by side.
Cheers,

Could be a private purchase piece bought as an extra pin or to replace a lost one?
Cheers Don

Hi All: If anyone is looking for a research project, there is a good chance that the people assigned these FM numbers could be identified with some dedication and persistance. Attached is a description of the FM records that are in the National Archives. Regards, Ross Kelbaugh www.ssdaggers.com
