Everything looks nice except for the knot, it should have one of these, round green ball with green strap.

It is for the 98 dress bayonet. Army type.

Don't forget that many members of the German Army were also members of the Shooting Assn. Therefore the knot could be correct and original to the piece.If you had a choice would you wear an Army NCO knot or just an Association knot that any civilian could wear? The frog looks too big but also could be original to the piece. Also-perhaps not. Correct frogs for these pieces are SO rare to find it would seem that on many occasions just a bayonet frog was used. The collector will always want the correct textbook frogs and knots for his pieces -but many times-in reality-they were not worn that way.
