I used to see a few of these in the old days. Just about all of them were Eickhorn marked. I think some were brass and some were steel. I did'nt know if they were period then and I still don't know how to tell for sure. I really wonder if anyone does???????

Dutchman... I don't think there is a "tool maker list" as such.

See what Houston Coates says..., "I used to see a few of these in the old days. Just about all of them were Eickhorn marked. I think some were brass and some were steel. I did'nt know if they were period then and I still don't know how to tell for sure. I really wonder if anyone does???????

That explains it really... you have a slim chance of ever finding out.
