This is my new e-bay purchase: THE DAMASCUS BLADE HAS THIS ON IT (SCHNEEVOGL s/l KNEEL ZUR ERINNERUNG UN DIE DIENSTZEIT 1901-1902) SCHNEEVOGL TO MY DEAR KNEEL IN REMEMBERANCE OF OUR SERVICE TIME 1901-1902 ALSO HAS A CROWN AND CYPHER OF REGIMENT THERE WERE IN.

VonRader, When you receive it I would be interested in seeing a better image of the cypher. The presentation officer’s sabers were never common, and are much less so now. Your find shows that good items still can and do turn up. Congratulations!! FP

Beautiful blade. Would like to see close-up of cypher also. The knot is Hessian and if the regiment is Hessian it would be an even better find. There weren't too many Hessian units.

Is the blade marked WKC?
I ask because this sword looks like a dead ringer for the Eickhorn Model #806 if memory serves me right.
